We can spend as much time investing into technology as we actually save from using it. However, I will be going through them all once again to ensure that what I am keeping will be songs that I will listen to at present as well as in the future.Technology, whether you like it or not, is here to stay. Unfortunately, technology can be tough. I only keep the songs I listen to on my computer and remove the rest. As far as my digital music goes, it is in a similar state as my CDs. I have a small number of CDs left in the house and they are ones I listen to regularly. To be perfectly honest, I have already gone over my music collection in the past. That way, you still have access to those songs but don’t have to worry about finding a place to keep all those CDs. Remember, you can always rip CDs into a digital format. In the end, make sure you are working towards removing what you no longer need or use from your home. ![]() ![]() Whether you sell, donate, or trash those unwanted CDs is up to you, but I would recommend avoiding the latter if at all possible. However, I am one of those people that think otherwise and still see the value in them. Some may argue that CDs are a thing of the past and aren’t worth much. Once you have it all sorted out, you need to decide what to do with the CDs or vinyl records you no longer want. However, if you love those songs, go ahead and add those CDs back onto the shelf. That’s okay.Īs you listen to music you can delete the songs you no longer enjoy if they are in digital form, or put that CD in a pile if it no longer matches your tastes in music. Of course, you may also find your taste in music has changed over the years, and what you used to love you no longer enjoy. You may find yourself being reacquainted with songs you loved but have forgotten about. Turn on your speakers or throw on headphones and start listening! That is the easiest way to complete this challenge. Don’t forget about your phones or MP3 players while doing this, to ensure all music kept on those is what you want to listen to. Anything that is damaged to the point it is unusable should be disposed of properly.įor digital music, you will need to go through your files, ensure all are working properly in order to properly sort through them. Those you are uncertain of will go in a second pile. Those CDs or vinyl that you regularly listen to shall go in the keep pile. It’s time to tame that collection, remove those songs and albums we no longer listen to, and limit the music clutter in our homes. This love of music can and often does lead to large collections of CDs or an overwhelmingly large digital music file on our devices. We listen to it to relax, we enjoy it when we are happy or sad, and we also listen to it as background noise throughout the day. It’s time for the November 2021 Use It Up Challenge.
